Staff catering: Manor Hospital, Walsall.

Gentian were involved with the PFI Consortium of Skanska and Innisfree in developing the main retail and café outlets on the ground floor main entrance of the new hospital. Following Financial Close the contract was varied to incorporate the provision of the main hospital restaurant for staff, visitors and patients. Gentian worked with the Trust directly to define the terms of the provision of food and drink at the restaurant and sourced an experienced catering operator to provide the Trust’s requirements at nil ongoing cost. Gentian and its operating partner funded all the costs of development and the Trust’s legal costs. The retail space was let to a SPAR franchise operator. The Hospital completed in May 2010.
