Gentian is part of the Taylor Wimpey and Innisfree Consortium who won the PFI contract to design, build, finance and operate two new hospitals, St Helens and Whiston, in Merseyside. Gentian was involved right from the start of the bidding process providing its expertise in retail location and layout through to completion of the new shops and café in March 2010. On Practical Completion of the hospitals, Gentian paid a lease premium to the Consortium which helped fund the construction costs of the hospital. Gentian fully let the space at both hospitals to WH Smith and Compass who operate a Costa Coffee.
