Gentian designed and built a new main entrance for the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff in 1998 to give the hospital a clear and highly visible modern entrance and to provide a number of retail and food outlets for what is a very busy hospital. Gentian funded the development in full and following the Completion of the new building were granted a headlease from the Trust which contained provisions for sharing of revenues above a certain threshold resulting in substantial payments to the Trust. Gentian let all the available space to a number of retailers and food operators such as Boots, NatWest, WH Smith, and a Costa Coffee.
